How to make a mobile call on OpenPhone
Making a call with the OpenPhone mobile couldn't be simpler.
1. Use the dial pad inside the app to enter a number.
2. Open (or create a new) conversation and tap on the call icon on the top right corner 📞
3. Choose a contact from your address book and select the number you'd like to call from their contact details.

How to make a call on OpenPhone desktop or web
Congratulations! 🎉 You've registered your business phone number and we're sure you can't wait to make your first business call. Here's how to do so from OpenPhone on desktop or web:

Launch the OpenPhone web or the desktop app from your laptop or computer.

In the inbox, there are two ways to make a call.
- Open a conversation with the person you'd like to contact and select the phone icon 📞 at the top.
- The alternative is to use the keyboard shortcut "C" or select the dialer at the top of the page. A pop-up window will appear. Type in a phone number or search for a name.
Note: If you're using a headset or speakers, you can also select and switch audio settings during your call. Just select the "Settings" ⚙ option from the call.
Bonus: OpenPhone on web and desktop has other keyboard shortcuts as well!
- Press Up and Down keys to preview conversations without marking them as read. Then, press Enter to reply.
- N to start a new text message.
- D to mark a conversation as Done.
- U to mark a conversation as Unread.
Now you can skip the back-and-forth of email and get right to the point with calling from the web or desktop app. That doesn't mean you shouldn't answer that important email, though!
