How to set up the Jobber integration

Jobber is a leading field service management platform that helps businesses handle scheduling, quotes, invoices, and client communications, all in one place. By integrating Jobber with OpenPhone, you’ll save time on manual data entry and gain quick access to the context of every client interaction.

Overview

Our Jobber integration automatically syncs your AI-powered call summaries and transcripts from OpenPhone into Jobber, making it easy to:

  • Create Clients and Requests in Jobber whenever a new caller reaches out
  • Sync call summaries with Jobber to quickly access context from past conversations.
  • Easily analyze conversations and locate specific details with complete, time-stamped call transcripts.

The integration is available on our Business and Scale plans. You’ll also need an active Jobber account to use this feature. If you don't yet have a Jobber account, sign up here!

Configure

Integrating OpenPhone and Jobber is a snap:

1. To install the integration, from your OpenPhone workspace, go to Settings → Integrations → Jobber and follow the prompts to grant permission and connect your accounts.

2. Ensure that the Transcribe and summarize calls setting is toggled on in OpenPhone’s settings for the phone number you want to sync.

3. Once installed, OpenPhone will automatically sync call summaries (shown below) and transcripts for all phone numbers in your workspace with call summaries enabled. Currently, you can’t enable or disable the integration for individual numbers.

Basics

Automatically create Clients and Requests in Jobber

Whenever OpenPhone detects an inbound call, the integration checks Jobber for a matching client by phone number. If a match isn’t found, OpenPhone automatically creates a placeholder client record so you can manage new leads without missing any details. Each new call that doesn’t match an existing Jobber Request also generates a new Request object, ensuring that essential call information — including transcripts — is properly captured and organized.

Sync AI call summaries and transcripts

After each call, OpenPhone’s AI automatically produces a succinct summary. This summary, along with the complete call transcript, syncs directly into Jobber! This saves you from having to manually transfer call information, for your team to easily reference the full details of any conversation right where they already manage scheduling, quotes, and invoices.

Limitations

While we're learning and improving the integration, please note:

  • You can’t enable or disable syncing for specific OpenPhone numbers. Currently, once installed, the integration applies to all numbers in your workspace, unless you disable the call summaries setting for a given number in OpenPhone.
  • This first version of the integration doesn’t support two-way synchronization between OpenPhone and Jobber. This means that client info added or updated in Jobber won’t automatically sync back to OpenPhone.
