How to sync your phone contacts with OpenPhone

To minimize calls from unknown numbers, sync your contacts in your device address book with OpenPhone.

How to sync your iOS contacts

1. Click on your account icon and click "Settings" to access the settings menu.

2. Inside the settings menu, select "Contacts".

3. Select "Sync Contacts". You can choose from one of the following:

  • not to sync (Don't sync),
  • sync contacts from your device address book your device (Sync to device), or
  • sync your contacts for viewing anytime you use OpenPhone (Sync everywhere).

How to sync your Android contacts

Note: There's currently a bug in uploading contacts in Android. We have removed this functionality for now. As a workaround, you should be able to sync your device's contacts with Google Contacts then integrate Google Contacts with OpenPhone.

  1. Open your Android Settings app ⚙️

  2. Tap on Apps & Notifications

  3. Select OpenPhone from the list

  4. Tap on Permissions

  5. If Contacts is listed in the 'Allowed' list, you're all set. If it's in the 'Denied' list, tap on Contacts and then tap 'Allow' to grant it Contacts permission.
