For iOS users starting with OpenPhone, we’ve streamlined how you sign up and register your number to send texts!
You can sign up directly from the app. The $21/month subscription price for iOS sign up now includes the monthly cost of recurring A2P registration fees. Along with sign up on mobile, iOS users can also complete A2P registration, a requirement for all users who want to send messages from any VoIP number like OpenPhone.
How to complete A2P registration on iOS mobile
You have two options —- mobile or web —- for accessing the process to begin A2P registration and submit the $19 one-time registration payment. Follow the steps below for mobile.

To access A2P registration within your mobile browser, do one of the following:
- From your OpenPhone number, attempt to message a US phone number. You’ll see a message including a link to start the registration process.
or
- In your workspace Settings, go to the mobile Trust Center and click any link.
2. You will be redirected to your external browser to submit a one-time registration payment of $19
for A2P. No recurring fee is included in this payment. NOTE: iOS users can also complete this on
desktop.
Note:
- Whether iOS subscribers complete A2P registration on mobile or web, you only pay the one-time A2P registration fee. You will never be enrolled in recurring A2P subscriptions.
- iOS subscribers cannot make changes, such as adding users or numbers, or changing plans, on the web. Doing so requires adding a payment method and canceling the iOS subscription to migrate to Stripe for future payments.
