After you add the Sona step to your call flow, you'll see option to customize in the settings panel. The first is the greeting. Your greeting is how Sona will introduce itself to your callers. Setting up your greeting is a snap!
1. In the Sona step settings, locate the Greeting section.
2. Customize the greeting text to reflect your brand voice. If you want Sona to take on a different name or persona, it's easy to change this in the greeting.
Sample greeting: "Hi there, this is Sona, a virtual assistant. How can I help you today?”
Important: While laws about call recording vary by jurisdiction, we recommend mentioning that the call is being recorded, since every Sona call will be recorded and transcribed.
💡 Pro Tips:
- Keep your greeting concise but friendly. Make sure to include your business name so callers know they've reached the right place.
- For transparency with your customers, clearly identify Sona as an AI assistant, virtual assistant, or AI receptionist in your greeting.
